Second Person Charged with Teenager's Murder in Wolverhampton

In the latest development in the investigation into 17-year-old Harleigh Hepworth's tragic death, a second individual has been charged with his murder. The tragic loss of Harleigh, who was violently stabbed in Wolverhampton’s West Park last Thursday, has sparked widespread shock and sorrow throughout the community.


The 17-year-old, whose identity remains protected for legal reasons, appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today to face charges related to Harleigh's murder. This follows the recent court appearance of a 16-year-old also charged with the same offense. The latter was remanded until his next court appearance following proceedings at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court yesterday.


Detective Inspector Ade George, from the Homicide unit, expressed condolences to Harleigh's loved ones, emphasizing that their thoughts remain with the grieving family and friends. While two individuals have been charged in connection with Harleigh's death, investigations continue as authorities strive to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.


In the light of recent events, extra patrols in the area will be deployed to provide ongoing reassurance to the community and to support all those affected by this heartbreaking loss.
