Alleged Abduction and Rape in East London: Police Seek Public Assistance
In a deeply concerning incident, a 13-year-old girl was allegedly abducted and raped in Hackney, East London. The attack occurred around 4pm on Wednesday, October 2, on Banister Road West, where the young victim was approached by an unknown man.
The suspect reportedly coerced the girl into a van, after which he drove her to Banister House on Homerton High Street, where the alleged assault took place. The suspect is described as being in his mid to late 30s and escaped the scene in a white Audi.
Authorities have issued an e-fit image of a man they wish to question in connection with this grave offense. Detective Superintendent Ralph Coates commented, “This is an extremely serious allegation which naturally stirs alarm within the community. We are moving swiftly with our investigations to provide reassurance.”
The police have been diligent in their approach, reviewing CCTV footage and conducting extensive interviews with the victim, who has endured a traumatic experience. Support for her continues to be a priority.
Coates further appealed to the public, stating, “We urgently need the community's assistance to identify this individual. The victim has been instrumental in creating the e-fit; if you recognize this face or have any relevant information, please come forward. Your input is crucial to our ongoing investigation.”
