DCI Payne urged anyone who witnessed the incident or has information to come forward: “My team has been working around the clock to establish what happened. It’s possible that you may have seen something that can help us identify those responsible.”

A makeshift memorial has started to form at the scene, with flowers and candles left by grieving residents. Heartfelt tributes flood social media as friends express their shock and sorrow over the tragic loss.
