Child Killer Urfan Sharif Slashed in Belmarsh! Brutal Tuna Tin Assault Leaves Sara Sharif’s Murderer Scarred for Life—Get the Shocking Details on This Prison Attack and His Heinous Crimes!

Hi and Welcome to this Video Production News Crime Report.

Convicted Child Killer Urfan Sharif Attacked in HMP Belmarsh

Urfan Sharif, the father convicted of the brutal murder of his 10-year-old daughter Sara Sharif, has been seriously assaulted by fellow inmates at HMP Belmarsh, just weeks after beginning his life sentence.

The attack took place on New Year’s Day when two prisoners reportedly stormed Sharif’s cell armed with a makeshift weapon crafted from a tuna tin lid.

Sources close to the incident told VPN that the assault was premeditated, with the attackers targeting Sharif due to the high-profile nature of his crimes. The 43-year-old was left with significant cuts to his neck and face. While the injuries required stitches, they were not deemed severe enough for hospitalisation.

According to an anonymous prison source:

“Urfan was sliced up badly in his cell. It was a calculated attack using a sharpened tuna can lid. Despite heavy precautions, he had a target on his back from the moment he arrived at Belmarsh.”

Sharif remains under close medical supervision, and prison authorities have increased his protective measures.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are investigating the assault but declined to comment further. A Prison Service spokesperson added, “Police are investigating an incident involving an inmate at HMP Belmarsh on January 1. It would be inappropriate to comment while inquiries are ongoing.”

The Crime That Shocked the Nation

Sharif’s notoriety stems from his role in the prolonged abuse and eventual murder of his daughter, Sara, whose body was discovered in August 2023. In a trial that horrified the public, it was revealed that Sara endured years of unimaginable cruelty.

She was frequently beaten, burned, and bitten, suffering 71 recent injuries at the time of her death. A post-mortem examination described damage to her brain, lungs, neck, and extensive ulceration from burns.

During the sentencing at the Old Bailey, Judge John Cavanagh described the case as :

“The culmination of years of frequent assaults and what can only be described as torture.”

He condemned Sharif as a controlling, violent figure who abused his daughter to enforce submission.

In his chilling confession to police, Sharif admitted throttling Sara and striking her repeatedly with various objects, including a cricket bat and a mobile phone. The final, fatal assault left her dying in agony while he, his wife Beinash Batool, and his brother Faisal Malik calmly planned their escape. The trio fled to Pakistan hours later, sparking an international manhunt before their eventual extradition.

Life Behind Bars and Ongoing Risk

Sharif’s sentence includes a minimum term of 40 years. His wife Batool received 33 years, while Malik was sentenced to 16 years for causing or allowing Sara’s death. The harrowing nature of their crimes has made them targets within the prison system.

Despite efforts by prison officials to mitigate risk, high-profile offenders convicted of crimes against children are often marked for violence by other inmates. HMP Belmarsh, a Category A prison, houses some of the country’s most dangerous offenders, making it a particularly perilous environment for Sharif.

His assault highlights the difficulty authorities face in ensuring the safety of notorious prisoners within the confines of a volatile prison hierarchy.

Further inquiries are expected to reveal whether security protocols were breached and what additional measures will be taken to prevent future incidents.

Well, that’s all for now. But until our next article, please stay tuned, stay informed, but most of all stay safe, and I’ll see you then.
