Brothers Idris And Hassan Hussain Jailed For 14 Years For Operating Class-A Drugs Line

Hi and welcome to this JK B'HAM Crime Report for VPN: REGIONAL NETWORKS:

Two brothers from Birmingham have been sentenced to a combined 14 years in prison for supplying crack cocaine and heroin across the city. Hassan Hussain, 26, and Idris Hussain, 22, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply drugs at Birmingham Crown Court.

Hassan was sentenced to eight-and-a-half years and also admitted to charges of driving without insurance, without a license, and causing criminal damage to a police vehicle. Idris received a sentence of five-and-a-half years.

The brothers operated the "Ace Line" drug network, using bulk messaging to advertise and sell heroin and crack cocaine in the Birmingham East area. The County Lines Task Force linked the drugs line to the brothers during an investigation spanning from May to October 2023.

Hassan was apprehended on October 16, 2023, after officers stopped his vehicle, which was using cloned plates. He attempted to flee but was detained, and officers found him in possession of heroin and crack cocaine.

Detective Constable Abbie-Mae Sillitoe, who led the investigation, highlighted the impact of County Lines drug dealers on vulnerable individuals and communities, stating that removing the brothers from the streets was a positive outcome.

Anyone with information about County Lines drug dealing is urged to contact the police via the live chat on their website, call 101, or reach out to Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 55111.
